sTORY

Elyse was a 17-year old rising senior in Dekalb County, Georgia who was an honor student, athlete, a beloved friend to many, and most of all a pure bright Light to her family and community…with a beautiful smile and many talents. She loved to cheer, attend school pep rallies and games, and be with her friends… all while she always exuded a fun-loving aura of grace and kindness. Elyse was also a little quiet, but loved to sing and had a beautiful, angelic voice that she didn’t get to fully share. She also loved to dance and had danced all her life, starting with the Noopooh African Dance group as a young child.

Elyse’s physical life ended unexpectedly after participating in a school dance practice in June of 2019. Elyse's family, friends and community are committed to uplifting her eternal spirit of positivity, dedication to excellence, and the purity of heart that she exemplified.
